My research focuses on the evolutionary consequences of sexual selection and sexual conflict. Combining experimental evolution, selection analysis and quantitative genetic studies, I have explored how differences in reproduction between males and females influence the mechanisms of evolutionary change. I am particularly interersted in the lek paradox and the maintaince of multivariate genetic variation, the constrasts between pre and post-copulatory sexual selection and the nature of sexual conflict in nuptial feeding insects.
